Description

Selank is a synthetic analog of tuftsin developed by the Russian Academy of Sciences (the same institution behind Semax). It is studied as a non-sedative anxiolytic — research interest centres on its anxiolytic activity without the sedation associated with GABAergic anxiolytics like benzodiazepines.

Where Semax is associated with stimulating cognitive activation, Selank is associated with anxiolytic-cognitive activity. Selank and Semax are often compared and sometimes studied in combination.
